April Favourites

Hello everyone, it’s that time of the month again!

No, not my period – the day when I try to make photos of my used products look arty and not at all like I’ve taken pictures of random objects on a tea towel.

Now of course the month April shares a name with one of my favourite fictional characters so here is a gif of the lovely April Ludgate!

Now without further ado, my favourites!

Lush’s Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion

05236

This body lotion changed my life. If you have rough elbows, dry legs, even a super dry face, chuck some of this on and voila! Sorted. It smells really clean but doesn’t have a strong scent if, like me, you don’t love moisturisers that smell too strongly.

And if that wasn’t enough, 100% of the price (minus tax) goes to charity! Good for you and for your conscience, so if you put this on before a night out it might cancel out all of your bad behaviour!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in the shade Nude York

A new high street favourite of mine. I’m surprised at how high quality this product is. It stays on for a long time, the colour is gorgeous and it feels lovely on the lips.

Unlike other cheap matte lip glosses, this doesn’t dry out the lips; the perfect everyday lip gloss.

Benefit’s Ka-Brow! Eyebrow Cream Gel

I’ve recently been moving away from eyebrow pencils because I work under fluorescent lighting and I think my eyebrows disappear under them. This is the perfect solution.

You can go for a subtle brow or a full on Scouse brow, all while using very little product. Not quite a high street price but it lasts a long time so it’s a good investment.

Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion

These last two items were birthday presents from my lovely friend. This is gorgeous. You can layer it over black eyeliner, put it in the corner of your eye, or just use it as a standalone eyeliner.

My favourite trick for a night out is putting just a little on my cupid’s bow when I’m wearing dark lipstick. It’s hella dramatic and I love it!

Black Fringe Embellished Duffle Bag from New Look

This a fab night out bag! It has a long shoulder strap so you can dance with it on, and it’s a great size; you can fit your purse, your lipstick and your phone in it. But it doesn’t look like a massive handbag.

And it’s sparkly! That’s really all the justification you need for buying it surely?

Happy National Beverage Day! I’m celebrating this in Newcastle today, so if I’m late to reply to comments, it’s because I’m on a light-up dance floor, treble vodka in hand at 3pm in the afternoon.

Have a fab week lovelies! Don’t forget to drink water, eat veggies and stroke dogs!

  1. I am seriously struggling with dry skin at the moment so I might well give that charity pot a try. I love Lush products. The garlic face mask is EVERYTHING. It’s the only product I’ve ever found that actually deals with acne.

    1. I know! I love that face mask, my brother had a rash on his arm that was bacterial and before we went to the doctors I put that on it and it went! Thanks so much for commenting!
